Now He's Dead
I had gone to court some many years ago but due to the welfare office having archived my records I could not show for how long I had drawn it and when I stopped which was before all the children had turned 18. So I was still entitled to child support until they did. Welfare office was no help. I sat in that courtroom all day, I was the last person there when the judge told me he was closing the case "without prejudice" which meant I could come back anytime to reopen it but I needed to be able to show when was the last time I had gotten welfare but I got no help from that office. So time passed, the deadbeat posts pics on Facebook with his "granddaughter" who is no blood relation. My own daughter made overtures to meet him, she actually did but was not impressed, no wonder after 30 years, what did she expect?
